These chords are played near the NUT of the guitar in the 1st position. Chords that use open strings are known as Open Position or Folk chords. All chords are Root Position chords as the lowest note of each chord is the Root with the exception of Abdim7, Cdim7, C#dim7, Cbdim7, Dbdim7, Fdim7, F#dim7, Gdim7 and Gbdim7 which have the 5th in the bass.
